Apple Maps provides users with better travel planning features, such as a 360-degree view of a location on Look Around, personalized restaurant and park guides and guides organized by companies. Apple unveiled the lineup for 2020's Worldwide Developer Conference, announcing what was in store for attendees of the annual event. The five-day conference, which Apple said is in its 31st year.

Apple Maps is set to get bike directions, electric vehicle directions and new guides on iOS 14. A smarter version of the U.S. navigation tool is also expected to reach the UK, Ireland and Canada.

Map to help users travel in a cleaner, ecological and healthy way

As more people try to travel by bicycle and avoid public transportation, Apple is ready to integrate bicycle routes into Maps. They will also tell runners how busy the street is and whether there are stairs on the route. Bicycle routes are initially available only in some cities. These features are also supported by the Apple Watch.

Electric vehicle routing will also be introduced in iOS 14, with tips for reaching charging stations. The idea is to help users to travel in a more ecological and clean way.

Sync with top brands to get new guides

New guides will also be available. Major brands like AllTrails, Complex, The Infatuation, Time Out Group and The Washington Post will make recommendations.

As for messages, with the arrival of macOS Big Sur, the maps for Mac are being updated. This allows users to get 360-degree videos of a destination, discover nearby attractions with guides and create guides. He will also be able to follow bicycle and electric car routes on a Mac.

For the first time, Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) will be completely virtual. Like other years though, the conference kicks off with the much-anticipated keynote presentation on the first day of the conference. Traditionally, the keynote offers a look at some of the new products that will be coming in the near future and gives us our first look at the new operating systems for both Macs and iOS devices.

Like most years, there’s a ton of rumors leading up to the conference about new features and hardware. This year’s rumors include a redesigned iMac and a huge shift in the entire Mac lineup towards Arm-based processors.

The Keynote presentation will happen Today at 12pm Central Time (1pm Eastern, 10am Pacific). You can catch the presentation several ways:
